Hemanth,
Sounds refreshing given that this has been hashed, thrashed & rehashed “N” times on many stages. You have not tried to imitate SPB which is very appealing to the senses. I trace a slight lack of emotion but that is very possible given that this is not a language that you are familiar with– something that can always be worked on. Ofcourse, there are mistakes in some of the words but that can also be worked on.
Good going overall– a timeless classic brought to life yet at the same time having made it your own.
The K-track is nice too.
Thanks Meera
Sur, Taal, Melody – Absolutely no issues. Excellent control!
Mood was sad instead of happy. Expressions were not swift in a few places. meaning though timing is ensured, the words will begin quickly, but you maintained the same length all through and that is because you probably were biased to sing it with a low profile sad mood.
A very good attempt, Hemanth. Good singing!!
Originality shows….nice effort!
Glad to hear such a ‘personal’ version of the most popular tamil song. very very nice rendition…yet to listen to your other songs. keep up the good work!
Thanks Ramesh, Aravind, Awatts, Rosh…
Thank you Marutham
Hemanth,
As meera has said ..I too have heard this song N number of times on stage during competitions …Even we couldn’t resist doing it once ..lol ..we did a mix of hindi and tamil
..
Your version was soothing though…loved every bit of your personal touch …
Keep it up
Cheers,
-Vishal
First time here. This is a fav song of mine.
Thanks Vishal & Poornima
Great singing…! You can even do better if you mixed up the emotions with the song.
Nice one. As Meera suggested, the pronunciations need to be fixed a bit. But for a language you dont know, its great. Not many tamilians can say “zha” very well these days. The transitions in the 2 charanas doesnt sound very smooth.
Keep up the good work! Listening to your blog is my latest hobby….:-)
